Assuming I ever actually run out of things I want to spend it on (including HoM points for friends), I’d use the cash to sponsor a Guild Wars Guru competition. I’ve seen it done a couple of times before on the forums, and thought it was great to see the GW oligarchs using their mega-wealth generate community events. Philanthropy aside, the contests also generated some fantastic entries.

Alternatively, I’d get some character artwork commissioned. Sure it’s vain, but what’s the point of having epic in-game skins if you don’t have the forum cosmetics to back it up?

I used to be wealthy in the game back in 07-08 and stopped playing around that time. Now i'm back working on my HoM and have about 4k hehe. Very odd coming back, the game is very difficult now.

I will probably keep buying cool weapons, and take them to my GW grave.. If I could only find a +10vGiants -2ench shield Then I would be a happy person and I could leave this game contempt, with a complete collection of +10/-2ench shields... *sigh*

Currently helping a bunch of less fortunate friends with their HoM though...

I dunno dude, I'm not english speaking, and I thought I heard the expression before... Translating expressions is nigh impossible, but you got what I mean^^

Since it's been brought up, it is content, content is satisfaction, contempt is holding something in disdain, scorn, etc. :P I understand the non-english speaking, though, I have enough friends around the world..

Anyways, I still really don't have any wealth, so Iunno how I'll finish out my HoM. But I'll try anyways. <_<

I have commissioned so much artwork It's fun. There really are some great artists around.

And I'm sinking some money into hosting our annual Halloween art workshop. We hold stuff like that a few times a year ^^

Already replied on this thread, but will add this.

1. Never burn your bridges!

2. Not coming back, eh?

a. Blast! GW 2 server crashed again! Guess I'll play GW 1!
b. Gosh. Look at that login queue. No time for it tonight. GW 1!
c. What's this? A special time travel quest? Go back to GW 1 and do what?
d. GW 2 servers to be down for 3 days, install new servers and special game maintenance. Yes, it can happen with a new game.

3. Unlike most, I do not see GW 1 immediately closing down. The developers already created HoM. They can create other hooks that make ownership of GW 1 desirable. It is better to sell two games than just to sell one game. ANet likes money. Case closed.

4. Worst Case: Arrrrgh! My computer will not run GW 2. Back to GW 1. Or, "Gosh, I just cannot adapt to the new combat style of GW 2." Unlikely as it may seem, this last could turn out to be a significant number of players. Not those on this board so much, but there are a lot of people who play GW that do not pay much attention to videos and forum info.

5. Arrrgh! I really miss my heroes and even the hench. Lonely out here being a farmer full time 24/7.

6. Seems to be Monday. Must find Nick the Traveler. Must farm whatever he wants and collect more useless goodies! No use to argue. It is a compulsion!

Wealth? Any "wealth" left will go the way of my characters. They can fight over everything in storage as they fade into electronic oblivion.

QFT

I know for myself that I'm gonna try GW2 for sure, but if I don't like it, I might just come back and log on every once in a while or something like that. I know of enough people with the same feeling as well.. Wouldn't surprise me at all..

Two days ago I fired up Diablo II and logged onto my several accounts to renew their 90-day expiration timers on every character. The oldest account is from 2003, which is a remake of my 2001-02 one that expired and I was epic pissed off at that when I found out so I never let it happen again.

Every one of my characters (plus mules) are still packed out square-by-square with uniques, sets and epic insane shit from super rare, rare to uncommon to common and so on.

This will be my Guild Wars 1 account several years from now. an dI still antipicate my D2 guys still breathing.

Already spending it.

Gonna finish Elonian Skill Hunter, buy Elite Tomes for the rest of Prophecies elites (I have like 12 left that require me to go to Southern Shiverpeaks and Ring of Fire...), and try to get some Vabbian armor.

Or just enjoy the game since I'm already 30/50.

I got it into my head to stockpile various materials needed to craft armor. It mostly a precaution as I'd like to avoid the potential situation of wanting to play GW1 as a from of break from GW2 and everything else. Furthermore, I'd like to have enough materials for two obsi armors in case gf and I decide to play GW1 at some point in the distant future of GW2. Clearing FoW and getting armors could be a fun experience a few years from now.

I've given my cash to friends who need it for HoM etc, but I'll never get rid of my items. I don't need the cash but if my friends need armours/weapons/mini to reach their HoM goals, I find that more important than hoarding useless cash.

I've been doing Snowball Tournaments (and actually won) and HA since I can remember, the last time I farmed was Ettin Farming, money has not been an issue for me for a looong time
